Srimandir Reforms: Amicus Curiae to visit Puri for 2 days this month

Bhubaneswar: Supreme Court-appointed Amicus Curiae and former Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar is scheduled to visit Puri for two days on on February 22 and 23.

During the visit, the senior lawyer will hold discussions with officials of Shree Jagannath Temple Administartion (SJTA), the temple managing committee,Puri Gajapati Maharaja and servitors on implementation of the reform proposals suggested by the apex court.

Kumar will later submit a report in this regard to the Supreme Court.

The court has also sought a report from the State Government and SJTA on steps taken based on the Puri District Judge’s suggestions for Srimandir reforms.
