Accommodation for devotees at affordable prices in Puri soon

Puri: In view of possible influx of devotees following reopening of Srimandir in Puri from January 3 next year, the district administration is planning to provide accommodation facility at affordable prices for devotees.

In this regard, land has been identified at Baseli Sahi police limits area for construction of Bhakta Niwas for accommodation at cheaper prices, informed Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Krishan Kumar today.

According to source, the Bhakta Niwas will be built in 9-10 acres of land with accommodation of 3,000-4,000 devotees. The devotees can stay by spending only Rs 100 to Rs 150 per bed from their pockets.

Early in the morning, 5T Secretary VK Pandian had visited Puri to review various developmental projects ahead of reopening of Srimandir.
