BJP will form government in Odisha after 2024 General Elections: Manmohan Samal

Bhubaneswar: Following massive victories in Assembly elections in the heartlands by BJP yesterday, saffron camp chief in Odisha Manmohan Samal today claimed that his party will certainly form the government in the State after the 2024 General Elections.

“The poll results recently announced in four states have given a new turn to politics in the country. Similarly, the politics in Odisha will take a ‘U’ turn after the results of the 2024 General Elections are out. Benefits of ‘Modi Guarantee’ are going to be reflected in the State,” Samal asserted.

“BJD will not be able to obtain votes by announcing publicity-oriented schemes and programmes and betraying voters. The ruling party will be outrightly rejected by the people. It is playing with the pride and self-respect of Odias including Odia culture,” the Odisha BJP president expressed.

“Acting on directives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have started Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra across the country. Not a single beneficiary should be deprived of the benefits of welfare schemes and programmes of the Central government,” the BJP chief stated.

“Corruption, dishonesty, and treachery have no place in politics. BJD has crossed all the limits of these negative values. Resentment has been brewing in the minds of voters on the typical style of governance that is being adopted by the ruling party. 2024 General Elections will witness a grim battle and BJD will be given a befitting reply by voters,” BJP chief Samal said.

Notably, Samal added saying, crime against women has reached the heights in Odisha in the past 23 years. Around 1.5 crore Odias have migrated to outside states to work as bonded labourers. Farmers face irrigation, fertilizer short-supply and crop procurement problems.

On the contrary, around Rs 300 crore has been spent on selecting a successor and more than Rs 500 crore was spent on bringing people to public meeting locations. The sentiments of devotees are not being given priority and Ratnabhandar of Jagannath temple is not being opened.

The popularity of Prime Minister Modi and the welfare schemes of the Central government in Odisha will bring positive results. BJP does not believe in appeasement politics, Samal opined.
