Child-friendly facilities come up at police station in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarsi today inaugurated child-friendly facilities and a reception centre at Nayapalli Police Station in the capital city here.

City Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Prateek Singh and other senior officials of the Commissionerate Police were present on the occasion.

The police station now has a designated room for children with facilities like books, toys and other articles. Besides, a crèche has been set up at the police station, said an official.

With the inauguration of these child-friendly facilities, the kids of the complainants will not face any difficulties at the police station, added the official.

The newly-inaugurated reception centre will have all facilities for senior citizens and others who visit the police station to raise their grievances, he said.
