Bhubaneswar: As many as 25 more persons died of COVID-19 in Odisha as the state reported its highest-ever single-day toll. With this, the overall toll mounted to 2403.
The deceased include 3 from Angul, one from Balasore, one from Bargarh, one from Balangir, one from Boudh, one from Cuttack, one from Dhenkanal, 2 from Ganjam, 4 from Kalahandi, one from Keonjhar, 4 from Khordha, one from Puri, 2 from Rayagada, and two from Sundargarh.
As many as 11498 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha as the tally in the state reached 655899.
Khurda district registered highest 1497 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (1107) and Angul (867).
With this, the number of active cases in Odisha reached 106812.
