Former Odisha MLA tests positive for COVID-19

Bhubaneswar: Former MLA of Umerkote Assembly Constituency Subash Gond has tested positive for Covid-19 in Odisha, he informed it on social media today.

The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader advised people, who have come in contact with him in recent days, to quarantine themselves to contain spread of deadly virus.

Gond also urged them to undergo corona test to detect presence of the virus in their bodies.

Gond had represented Umerkote in Nabarangpur district after he won the assembly polls in the year 2014. He was the BJD candidate from Umerkote in 2019 polls, but lost to BJP’s Nityananda Gond in the battle.
