Man dies after consuming spurious liquor in Odisha’s Keonjhar  

Keonjhar: A person died after consuming spurious liquor at Kakharu Gadia village under Soso police limits in Keonjhar district yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Buddhadeb Jena, a tractor driver.

As per allegations by family members of the deceased, Jena was taken ill after reaching his house in inebriate condition last evening. He had come home after consuming alcohol from an illegal country liquor shop. Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors declared him dead.

Meanwhile, it is alleged that many people mix various chemicals, herbs and capsules in country liquor to make it more intoxicated and later die after drinking the same. Moreover, police are not taking any action even though such illegal liquor trade is running near the Soso police station, a local alleged.
