MCA student hangs self during video call in Baranga locality

Bhubaneswar: An MCA 1st-year student of Sri Sri University died by committing suicide during a video call today and the youth’s body was found hanging from his rented house in Sandhapur village under Godisahi outpost and Baranga police limits on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar in Khordha district.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Manoj Kumar Behera, who belonged to Dharmasala of Jajpur district.

A source said that the youth had made a video call to his girlfriend. However, the exact reason as to why he took an extreme step has not been ascertained yet.

On being informed by some locals, Godisahi police reached the spot and launched a probe in this connection, a senior police official in Baranga station said.
