Naveen most popular Chief Minister in home state, says survey

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik once again adjudged as the most popular Chief Minister in home state as per the Mood of the Nation survey conducted by ‘India Today’ media group recently.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has been voted as the second popular Chief Minister and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is the third popular Chief Minister in the survey.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has been adjudged as the forth popular CM and Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam has grabbed the 5th place.

According to the survey, Patnaik has been voted as the most popular Chief Minister in home state as 61.3 per cent respondents out of the total 3,760 from Odisha said that they were satisfied with his performance.

Baghel as Chief Minister got positive feedback from 59.1 per cent respondents out of the total 6,703 from Chhattisgarh. As per the survey, 57.7 per cent respondents from Delhi said they were happy with Kejriwal’s performance as Chief Minister.

However, Patnaik’s popularity came down from 78 per cent to 61.3 per cent within a year, said the survey. Patnaik had been declared as the most popular Chief Minister in home state during a similar survey by the media group last year.

However, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been voted as the most popular Chief Minister across India. Around 43 per cent respondents of the total 1,34,487 across the country rated Yogi Adityanath as the No. 1 Chief Minister, said the survey.

Delhi Chief Minister has been voted as the second popular Chief Minister across the country with 19 per cent votes, added the survey.

The popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has remained intact across the country. The survey report claimed that 52 per cent of the respondents were in favour of Modi securing a third term as Prime Minister.
