Odisha Assembly’s Budget Session from February 14

Bhubaneswar: The budget session of Odisha Assembly will begin from February 14 and conclude on April 9. The third session of the Sixteenth Odisha Legislative Assembly will be held in two phases.

While first phase will be held from February 14 to 29, second phase will commence from March 11 to April 9. The session will have 31 business days, said a notification issued by the Odisha Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.

The session will start with the address of Governor Ganeshi Lal. A discussion on motion of thanks on the Governor’s speech will be on February 15 and 17.
State Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the Budget for 2020-21 financial year on February 18.

The Appropriation Bill on the Budget for the year 2020-21 will be passed in the House on March 31.
