Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik mourns demise of Mulayam Singh Yadav
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today condoled the death of Samajwadi Party (SP) stalwart and former three-time Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Expressing his deep grief over sad demise of the veteran politician, CM Patnaik took to microblogging site and wrote:
Deeply saddened to know about the passing away of former UP CM & @samajwadiparty founder #MulayamSinghYadav. The socialist leader will always be remembered for his contribution to uplift the downtrodden. My thoughts & prayers are with the bereaved family & supporters. Om Shanti.

Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away at 8.16 am today at the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram after prolonged illness.
The Samajwadi Party patron had admirers across political spectrum. The OBC leader had played a key role in national politics on several occasions. He was the Defence Minister during Deve Gowda and Inder Kumar Gujral regime at the Centre.
