Odisha: Website launched for cremation at Puri Swargadwar

Puri: People no longer have to wait for hours to make registration for the cremation of the body at Swargadwar in Puri as they can register online for the last rituals of their loved ones.

Puri district administration launched the website https://swargadwar.com/ on the occasion of Diwali on Sunday providing all services available at Swargadwar.

The information on Swargadwar is available in three languages – Odia, Hindi and English.

The beneficiaries can avail services to cremate bodies of their near and dear by uploading all necessary data through the dedicated website. The Swargadwar Sanskar Sevaks, who are available to provide assistance to those who visit Swargadwar for cremation work, will be provided financial assistance for their wedding and death.

At present, the website has been launched on a trial basis and will be modified as per the requirement. Along with this, the Swargadwar app will also be available through the Google Play Store soon, informed Puri Sub Collector Bhavataran Sahu, who is the Ex-Officio Convener-cum-Secretary of the Swargdwar Seva Samity.

Worth mentioning, a similar website https://www.swargadwara.com/ was also launched a few years ago to provide all types of services for cremation of bodies at Swargadwar in Puri.
