Railway Min directs Foot Over Bridge in quick response to local grievance in Puri in Odisha

As per reports, the Minister along with Railway officials visited the place on the day and discussed with the villagers about the issues they are facing.

Puri: Responding immediately to grievances of villagers, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today directed department officials to construct a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) with ramp facility for convenience of local residents at Birapratappur in Odisha’s Puri district. As per reports, the Minister along with Railway officials visited the place on the day and discussed with the villagers about the issues they are facing. After the interaction, he asked the officials to construct an FOB  with ramp facility for the benefit of the people there.

Sources said villagers were concerned about commutation of lower and upper primary school children as Birapratappur, located near Chandanpur in Puri, is divided by train lines. During festivals too, people face problems to pull the chariot of the village temple across the railway lines. Apart from this, their day to day activities are being hampered because of this, they expressed during Vaishnaw’s visit.

After hearing their concerns, the Minister assured them of action and directed the FOB soonafter.
