Rainfall activities to continue in these Odisha districts till March 10; check details

Bhubaneswar: With a cyclonic circulation lying over south Odisha and its neighbourhood and another cyclonic circulation lying over interior Odisha and its neighbourhood, rainfall activities are very likely to continue in these Odisha districts till 0830 hrs IST of March 10, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD centre said, “Maximum temperatures observed appreciable fall at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha, marked rise at one or two places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, appreciable rise at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal and North Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, above normal at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature forecast: No major change is likely in the minimum (night) temperature at many places over the districts of Odisha during next four to five days.

The highest maximum temperature of 38.2°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 16.7°C was recorded at Rourkela in the plains of Odisha.

Light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Khurda, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Puri and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

For Thursday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 07.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 08.03.2024)

Light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Boudh and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
