Sevayats of Puri Srimandir to be vaccinated ahead of Rath Jatra

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the world-famous Ratha Jatra this year, Sevayats (servitors) of the Shree Jagannatha Temple in Puri will be vaccinated. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved a proposal regarding this.

Earlier, Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator, Krishan Kumar had requested the State government to inoculate the Sevayats on priority basis.

Meanwhile, a high-level review meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary SC Mahapatra on Covid management among families of Sevayats of the Shree Jagannatha Temple.

The Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department, SJTA Chief Administrator, Director NHM, DMET Odisha, Collector Puri, and other senior officials  also attended the meeting.
