Digapahandi: A man was killed and four others sustained grievous injuries as the auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling was hit by a speeding truck from the front near Rajpur Chhak on Digapahandi-Aska main road under Digapahandi police limits in Ganjam district, today morning.

Identity of the deceased man has not been ascertained yet and three of the injured were identified as Ramnath Baraja, Kuni Baraja, and Phulamati Baraja.

According to a police source, the ill-fated auto-rickshaw (bearing registration number OR-07 X-9093) carrying five persons working in a brick kiln was on its way from Digapahandi locality to Bhaliajhola of Patapur when the three-wheeler met with an accident.
