At 45.2 Degree C, Odisha’s Baripada & Boudh hottest places in India

Bhubaneswar: Two Odisha towns today recorded the highest maximum temperature of 45.2 Degree Celsius in the country.

Baripada and Boudh in Odisha with the highest maximum temperature of 45.2 Degree C were the hottest places in India today, said the IMD.

The maximum temperature was 44.6 Degree C at Bankura and 44.5 Degree C at Midnapore in West Bengal.

As per the IMD weather report, the mercury crossed 43 Degree C at 14 places across the country.

The maximum temperature crossed 43 Degree C at seven places in Odisha, four places in West Bengal, two places in Jharkhand and one place in Chhattisgarh, said the IMD.

“Severe heatwave condition today prevailed over some parts of Gangetic West Bengal and at isolated pockets over Chhattisgarh and Odisha,” said the IMD in its weather bulletin today.

Notably, Boudh town in Odisha was the hottest place in the country yesterday with maximum temperature of 44.3 Degree C.
