Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express to run Twice a week; More trains cancelled

Bhubaneswar: In view of very poor occupancy by train passengers during COVID-19 pandemic, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to cancel more trains including Rajdhani Express from its jurisdiction.

As per the decision, Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani trains will now run twice in a week instead of daily till May 31.

While 02823 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express Special via Tata will run on Tuesdays from Bhubaneswar till May 31, this train on other days will remain cancelled with effect from May 21.

Similarly, 02824 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express Special via Tata will run on Wednesdays from New Delhi during the period. Remaining days of this train will remain cancelled till June 1.

Besides, 02825/02826 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express Special via Adra from Bhubaneswar will run on Sundays and from New Delhi will run on Mondays during the period. This train will remain cancelled May 26 from Bhubaneswar and on May 28 from New Delhi.

Also, 02855/02856 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express Special via Sambalpur City & Rourkela will remain cancelled on May 22 and May 29 from Bhubaneswar and on May 23 and May 30 from New Delhi.

Other trains cancelled during the period are as follows…

A. 02882/02881 Bhubaneswar-Pune-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar on 25th May and from Pune on 27th May, 2021 will remain cancelled.

B. 02097/02098 Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar between 21st to 31st May and from Junagarh Road between 22nd May to 1st June, 2021 will remain cancelled.

C. 08433/08434 Bhubaneswar-Palasa-Bhubaneswar Special from both the directions from 21st May to 31st May, 2021 will remain cancelled.

D. 08301/08302 Sambalpur-Rayagada-Sambalpur Special from both the directions from 21st May to 31st May, 2021 will remain cancelled.

E. 02892/02891 Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar from 21st to 31st May and from Bangiriposi from 22nd May to 1st June, 2021 will remain cancelled.

F. 08493/08494 Bhuabneswar-Balangir-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar from 21st May to 31st May, 2021 from both the directions will remain cancelled.
