COVID-19 claims 41 more lives in Odisha; Toll surpasses 3,000-mark

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll today surpassed 3,000-mark in Odisha after 41 more persons died of the virus in last 24 hours.

“Regret to inform the demise of forty one numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

The fresh fatalities were reported from 21 districts — Angul (1), Balasore (1), Bargarh (2), Bhadrak (1), Deogarh (1), Dhenkanal (1), Gajapati (2), Ganjam (3), Jagatsinghpur (2), Jajpur (2), Jharsuguda (2), Kalahandi (1), Kendrapara (1), Keonjhar (1), Khordha (6), Mayurbhanj (2), Nayagarh (1), Puri (3), Sambalpur (2), Sonepur (2) and Sundargarh (4).

The highest single-day toll was reported from Khordha district with 6 followed by Sundargarh (4) and Ganjam and Puri with 3 cases each.

With this, the total number of COVID deaths increased to 3,035 in Odisha.

7.A 24 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension & Hypothyroidism.

8.A 43 years old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Bronchial Asthma.

9.A 34 years old male of Deogarh district.

10.A 76 years old male of Dhenkanal district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

11.A 85 years old female of Gajapati district.

12.A 38 years old male of Gajapati district.

13.A 39 years old male of Ganjam district.

14.A 56 years old male of Ganjam district.

15.A 41 years old male of Ganjam district.

16.A 69 years old male of Jagatsinghpur district who was also suffering from Hypertension.

17. A 42 years old male of Jagatsinghpur district.

18. A 75 years old female of Jajpur district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

19. A 63 years old male of Jajpur district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.

20. A 42 years old male of Jharsuguda district.

21. A 54 years old female of Jharsuguda district.

22. A 57 years old male of Kalahandi district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

23. A 62 years old male of Khordha district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

24. A 65 years old male of Khordha  district who was also suffering from Hypertension.

25. A 75 years old female of Khordha district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
