COVID-19: List of services to be exempted during 2nd phase of Odisha lockdown

Bhubaneswar: Even as Odisha is going to remain under the COVID-19 lockdown for more days till April 30 , the state Government has made a few exemptions for the second phase starting April 15, informed Special Relief Commission (SRC) Pradeep Jena at a press briefing here today.

In view of the harvesting season of Rabi crops and  initial works for Kharif season and taking into account the feedback from public during during the first phase of the lockdown, the state Government will exempt the following  services in the state during  the lockdown.

Here’s the list of services to remain exempted during 2nd phase lockdown

  • Home delivery of all kind of products from e-commerce sites like Amazon, Flipkart etc.
  • Agriculture works like harvesting and threshing crops, seed growing, distribution, transport and  storage.
  • Operation of RMC Haats, Mandis and cold storages.
  • Workshops and sale points of agriculture equipment.
  • Seed testing and certification.
  • Fisheries and Animal Husbandry related activities.
  • Cooperative banks and societies to remain open for helping farmers with farm loans.
  • Food processing and packing units.
  • Veterinary services
  • Marine fisheries activities and hatchery activities
  • Chemical testing, fertilizer testing  and seed testing laboratories
  • Plantation and nursery activities
  • MNREGA, PMAY, Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan related works
  • Mission Shakti groups will also be allowed to begin their works

The exemption made earlier by both the central and state Government during the lockdown will remain intact. Besides, the Government will also issue a special set of lockdown norms which will be implemented in the capital city during the second phase of lockdown.
