Odisha Class 9, 10 Exams: School heads asked to submit Tabulation Register

Bhubaneswar: Following cancellation of Class 9 and Matric Examinations for the session 2021 in Odisha, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has begun process to award marks to students based on school tests and pre-board examination results respectively.

As notified by the BSE, the headmasters of schools have been asked to submit the Tabulation Register of Class 9 and 10 examinations in a prescribed format.

The format as given by the BSE may be prepared in three copies within next one or two days at the Mentor school. As per decision by the Board, each copy will be prepared for DEO, Mentor school and Individual school.

Worth mentioning that the State Government has cancelled the annual Matric examination for the year 2021 and Class 9 examination in view of rapid spread of COVID infections in second wave of the pandemic.

The results of Class-X Board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the BSE, Odisha, the School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash had told while announcing the cancellation of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Examination on April 21 this year.

“Any candidate, who will not be satisfied with marks awarded to him/her on this basis, will be given an opportunity to sit in an examination as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the examination,” the Minister had said.
