Odisha records sharpest decline in single-day COVID-19 deaths

Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded the sharpest decline in single-day COVID-19 deaths with only 4 fatalities in the last 24 hours.

“Regret to inform the demise of four numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

With 4 new deaths due to COVID-19, the toll increased to 1734.

The fresh deaths were reported from 3 districts. While the virus claimed 2 more lives in Khordha district, 1 each died in Balasore and Dhenkanal districts in one day.

Here’re details of 4 new COVID deaths in Odisha:

1.A 43-year-old male of Balasore district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

2.A 45-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

3.A 57-year-old male of Dhenkanal district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & CKD.

4.A 56-year-old female of Khordha district who was also suffering from COPD, Hypertension & Hypothyroidism.
