Odisha weather alert: 14 dists likely to experience thunderstorm today

Bhubaneswar: As many as 14 districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

“Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and also hailstorm likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Kandhamal and Gajapati,” the Meteorological Centre said.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Boudh, Angul and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha, it predicted.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (Day temperature) during next 2 days and likely to fall thereafter by 2-3°C at many places over the districts of Odisha.
