Registration not required to receive precaution dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Bhubaneswar: Fresh registration is not required to receive the precaution dose (3rd dose) of COVID-19 vaccine in India, informed Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, today.

Those who have taken two doses of COVID-19 vaccine can directly take an appointment or walk-in to any vaccination centre, the ministry said.

Schedules in this regard will be published on January 8. The online appointment facility will also start by January 8 evening, it added.

Option of precaution dose will be available for senior citizens above 60 years of age with co-morbidities on the advice of their doctors from 10th January, 2022.

Precaution dose of COVID-19 vaccine will also be administered to healthcare and frontline workers in the country from 10th January, 2022.
