10 die of suspected heatstroke in Odisha’s Rourkela

Bhubaneswar: As many as 10 people died of suspected heatstroke in Odisha’s Rourkela city today.

At least 30 others also suffered heatstroke in the Steel City.

All the deceased persons were the residents of Rourkela city and its nearby areas.

They suffered heatstroke in between 1.30 pm and 8 pm and died while being treated at Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH).

At present, at least 18 people are being treated for sunstroke-related complications at the hospital.

Notably, at least nine places in the state today recorded the maximum temperature above 45 Degree Celsius.

Jharsuguda town recorded the highest maximum temperature of 47 Degree C in the state.
