10 jawans, driver killed in blast by Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada

Bhubaneswar: At least ten security personnel of Chhattisgarh’s District Reserve Guard (DRG)  and a driver were killed in an IED blast by Maoists in Dantewada district, today.

The vehicle carrying the jawans was blown up by the explosion, reports said.

The incident took place when the security personnel were returning from an anti-Maoist operation in Dantewada’s Arnapur area after getting intelligence inputs regarding presence of the extremists.

The explosives were planted on the road, reports added.
