2 youths nabbed for circulating rape video in Odisha’s Keonjhar
The accused were identified as Maheshwar Juang (24) and the woman's brother in-law Budhuram Juang of Keonjhar town.
Keonjhar: Police have arrested two youths on the charge of raping a 30-year-old woman and making the recorded visuals of the act viral on social media in Keonjhar district of Odisha here today.
The accused were identified as Maheshwar Juang (24) and the woman’s brother in-law Budhuram Juang of Keonjhar town.
As per reports, the woman was alone in her house when Maheshwar barged in and allegedly raped her while brother in-law Budhuram recorded the entire act on his mobile phone. Maheshwar then started blackmailing her and threatened to circulate the rape video if she did not agree to keep physical relationship with him. When the woman did not comply, both the accused leaked the video and made it viral on social media.
The woman then shared the ordeal with husband who reached out to police and filed a complaint. A case was registered and the accused nabbed. They will be produced in court.
