2995 new COVID-19 cases detected in Odisha; details here
Bhubaneswar: As many as 2995 persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,40,998.
Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 1737 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1258 are local contacts. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.
Khordha recorded highest 568 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (166) and Angul (142).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 29,770. However, 2,10,217 patients have recovered in the state so far.
Total 45,358 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 35,69,600 tests have been conducted in the state.
