6 killed as car rams into truck from rear in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: At least six persons were killed in a road mishap involving three vehicles in Keonjhar district of Odisha today.

The mishap took place on National Highway 520 near Rimuli under Champua police limits in Keonjhar at around 9 pm.

A speeding car rammed a stationary truck before being hit by another truck from behind on the NH.

The car was severely damaged in the mishap. All those travelling in the car were killed at the spot.

On being informed, the police and Fire Brigade personnel reached the spot and recovered the bodies from the mangled car by using gas cutter.

All the deceased were the family members of Hiralal Palei, a resident of Bhadrasahi at Barbil. The mishap occurred when they were travelling to Taramakanta area of Banspal block in Keonjhar.
