Amid heatwave, rain likely in these Odisha districts till April 5

Bhubaneswar: Amidst heatwave, rain is likely to bring relief for people in several districts in Odisha during next three days.

The Regional Meteorological Centre forecast rain for some districts starting from today till April 5.

According to a weather bulletin released by Bhubaneswar MeT today, Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha between today and tomorrow.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is in the forecast for one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Rayagada, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha during April 3 and April 4.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha during April 4 and April 5.

According to MeT, there will be no large change in maximum temperature over the districts of Odisha during next 4-5 days. The maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Interior Odisha and also it will be more than 40 degree Celsius at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha during the period.
