Another minor boy kidnapped in Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: Days after the kidnap and murder of a businessman’s minor son in Odisha’s Jharsuguda, another minor boy has allegedly been abducted in the district.

According to reports, the boy of Buromal area went missing on April 7 and he was yet to be traced. His family members have lodged a complaint in this regard with the Jharsuguda police alleging that he was kidnapped.

The boy’s mother was hospitalised on the very day due to illness while his father was also present at the hospital. The boy was at his house with his brother during the period. He was last seen standing in front of the house on the fateful day.

Police have started an investigation into the incident. Efforts were on by cops to ascertain the whereabouts of the missing boy.

Notably, Samarth Agrawal, the 15-year-old son of businessman Sunit Agrawal of Sarbahal area in Jharsuguda, was allegedly kidnapped and killed over a ransom of Rs 50 lakh on March 28. His body was recovered from Bheden area of Bargarh district.

According to sources, some miscreants had allegedly abducted Samarth from Jharsuguda during the evening hours of March 27 and sought a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from his father. They killed the boy in the night hours of March 28 after the victim’s family did not pay the ransom.
