Bhubaneswar: Two held for smuggling ganja to Delhi through courier service

Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police today arrested two persons for allegedly smuggling ganja from Odisha capital to New Delhi through a courier service.

The accused, who hail from Delhi and were residing in Bhubaneswar in a rented house, used to procure the contraband from drug peddlers in Gajapati and send it to the national capital via the courier service, a police official said.

Ganja weighing 45 kg worth over Rs 3 lakh has been seized in this connection. Suspecting involvement of a racket in the offence, police have started an investigation.

The role of the courier company in the incident is also being probed.
