Bihar CM to meet his Odisha counterpart on May 9

Bhubaneswar: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will meet his Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneswar on May 9 amid talks of opposition parties coming together ahead of the 2024 general election.

Kumar will meet Patnaik at the latter’s residence here around the noon on May 9, sources said.

Kumar had earlier announced that he would travel across the country to unite opposition parties ahead of the next year’s Lok Sabha polls.

The JD (U) leader has already met top Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, and Left leaders Sitaram Yechury and D Raja.

“I share a very good relationship with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. I will talk to him about opposition unity,” the Bihar Chief Minister had recently said.
