Brother, sister drown in pond in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj

Baripada: In a tragic incident, a brother and sister reportedly drowned in a pond at Jatipur village located under Baripada Sadar police limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.

The deceased children were Maalha Majhi (6) and her brother Kartik Majhi (2).

According to reports, two children of the late Laba Majhi of Jatipur village had been to a pond near their house to take a bath in the morning. The brother-sister duo drowned after their legs slipped into the water.

On getting information, Baripada firefighters reached the spot and recovered the bodies.
