COVID norm violators to face action during Raja festival in Odisha’s Twin City

Bhubaneswar: Twin City Police Commissioner Saumyendra Kumar Priyadarsi today warned of stringent action against COVID norm violators in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack during Raja festival.

“A special drive will be launched from today to curb the violations. Police officers have been directed to intensify patrolling in the two cities. Stringent action will be taken against anyone found violating the rules,” the Police Commissioner said.

In the case of violation by shopkeepers/traders, the shop will be sealed while the businessmen might face arrest, the police official said.

He also urged the residents of the twin city to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines and sought their support in the fight against the pandemic.
