Father-daughter duo killed in road mishap in Odisha’s Cuttack
As per reports, the father-daughter duo was headed towards the railway station at around 3 am when a pick up van coming from Cuttack side collided head on with their two-wheeler.
Cuttack: In a shocking incident, a 59-year-old man and his daughter died after their two-wheeler collided with a pick-up van on Cuttack-Chandbali road within Jagatpur police limits here on Thursday. The deceased were identifed as Anubhav Samal of Satyabhamapur village and his 40-year-old daughter Anjali Swain.
As per reports, the father-daughter duo was headed towards the railway station at around 3 am when a pick up van coming from Cuttack side collided head on with their two-wheeler. Both fell and were seriously injured.
On getting information, police reached the spot and rushed them to the nearest hospital but doctors declared them dead on arrival. Meanwhile, both the vehicles have been seized and bodies sent for postmortem. A case has been registered in this regard and probe is underway, Jagatpur IIC informed.
