Fresh spell of rain or thundershower likely to occur in Odisha districts from February 10

Bhubaneswar: With no significant synoptic system lying over the region, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Odisha from February 10, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD said, “Minimum temperatures observed appreciable rise at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, markedly above normal at a few places over the districts of Odisha, appreciably above normal at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha and above normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature forecast: No major change is likely in the minimum (night) temperature during the next two days and thereafter gradual fall by 2oC to 3oC at many places over the districts of Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 35.0°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and Bhawanipatna and the lowest minimum temperature of 15.5°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Nuapada and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

For February 11 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 11.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 12.02.2024)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Subarnapur, Angul, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

For February 12 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 12.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 13.02.2024)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Khurda, Nayagarh, Angul, Kandhamal, Boudh, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
