Jajpur bus mishap: Odisha CM announces ex-gratia for victims’ kin

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh each to the families of five persons killed in a bus mishap in Odisha’s Jajpur district today.

The Chief Minister has expressed grief over the accident and asked the authorities concerned to arrange proper medical treatment for the injured persons.

The state government will bear the medical expenditures of the injured persons, announced the Chief Minister.

At least five passengers were killed and around 30 others were injured when a bus fell off a flyover in Odisha’s Jajpur district today.

The incident took place while the bus, named Kalia Nana, was on its way to Kolkata from Puri in the evening.

The bus fell off the Barabati flyover in Jajpur after the driver lost control over the vehicle. There were around 50 passengers in the bus.
