Miscreants loot Rs 1.5 crore from ATM cash loading van in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted around Rs 1.5 crore from an ATM cash loading van in Godijharia area under Tigiria police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district, today.

According to reports, 7-8 men intercepted the van, threatened the occupants of the vehicle and forcibly took away the trunk containing the cash.

On being informed about the loot, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident. Efforts were on by cops to identify, trace and nab the robbers.

“Around 7-8 masked men came in an SUV and intercepted the van. They threatened us with guns and sharp weapons. They also snatched my gun from me. The looters took away the trunk in which cash was kept and fled the spot,” a security guard who was present in the van said.
