Odisha Cabinet meeting tomorrow; 15 proposals likely to get nod

Bhubaneswar: A meeting of Odisha Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to be held at Lokseva Bhawan here tomorrow (February 13).

The Cabinet will approve the draft Budget proposal for 2023-24 financial year during its meeting on Monday, sources said.

As many as 15 proposals of Health, Energy, Rural Development, Agriculture, Public Works, Urban Development, Water Resources, and Commerce and Transport departments are likely to get the Cabinet approval tomorrow, sources added.

Notably, the Budget Session of Odisha Assembly is scheduled to commence on February 21.

Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will table the annual Budget of 2023-24 fiscal on February 24.

The House will discuss the Budget proposals on February 27, 28 and March 1. The Appropriation Bill on the Budget will be tabled in the Assembly on March 4.

This will be the last full-fledged Budget moved by the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government in Odisha in its fifth term.
