Odisha CM approves 67 new posts in BDA for efficiency in enforcement

The posts will be created by the Odisha Police.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved for creation of 67 new posts in the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) to make the enforcement system of the organisation more efficient and functional.

The new posts will be created by Odisha Police. The posts include 1 Assistant Commissioner of Police, 6 Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police and 60 Police Constable.

Bhubaneswar is one of the fastest-growing cities in eastern India. These positions will work for urban planned development. According to the proposal of BDA, 25 Joint Teams and five Reserve Teams were required for these works in the entire city of Bhubaneswar. Each team will have two police constables. An Assistant Commissioner, 6 Assistant Sub Inspectors will work for the coordination and management of these teams, a release from the CMO stated.

With the filling up of these posts, the Bhubaneswar Development Authority will ease and speed up the work of removing encroachments required for various development work in the city.
