Odisha experiences rainfall due to depression; Yellow Warning issued for 4 districts

Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha today experienced rainfall due to the depression (remnant of Cyclonic Storm ‘MICHAUNG’) over northeast Telangana and adjoining south Chhattisgarh-south interior Odisha-coastal Andhra Pradesh.

The Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued heavy rainfall warning (Yellow Warning) for four districts of Odisha till the morning of tomorrow in view of the system.

Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, and Nuapada.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower very likely to occur at most places over the districts of south interior Odisha and at many places over the rest districts of Odisha, it added.
