Odisha mountaineer Sidharth Routray, son of MLA Sura Routray, scales Mount Everest
Bhubaneswar: Ace Odisha mountaineer Sidharth Routray, son of Jatani MLA Suresh Kumar Routray (popularly known as Sura Routray), brought laurels to the state as he scaled Mount Everest, the highest peak of the world.
According to reports, Sidharth reached the peak today at around 4 am.
He had carried a photo of Lord Jagannath with him and waived the national flag and Patitapabana Bana of the Lord on reaching the peak.
Earlier, the mountaineer had scaled top 3 peaks in three continents of North America, South America and Africa.
He has already climbed Mt Denali in North America, Mt Aconcagua in South America and Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa.
Sidharth, who resides in Folsom, California with his wife Anita Misra and two daughters, is currently working as the Head of Digital Marketing for Ooma Inc. in San Jose.
He has shared several videos of the expedition to Mount Everest on Facebook.
