Odisha youth electrocuted after celebrating friend’s birthday

Cuttack: In a tragic incident, a youth was electrocuted after celebrating his friend’s birthday here in the city yesterday night.

The deceased person has been identified as Alok Pradhan, 23, a resident of Stewart Patna area in Cuttack.

According to reports, Alok went to Madhukunj Park at Tulasipur to attend his friend Akash’s birthday party last night. On his way back to home after celebrating the occasion, he along with another friend Udit came in contact with an electric wire connected to a pole in front of the park.

While Alok died of electrocution, his friend Udit sustained critical injuries in the mishap.
