Paradip Port bribery case: Mahima Mishra’s son Charchit gets bail from CBI court

Bhubaneswar: A CBI court here today granted bail to Charchit Mishra, son of industrialist Mahima Mishra and Director of Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL), in the Paradip Port Trust bribery case.

Granting the conditional bail, the court asked Charchit not to influence witnesses of the case, to submit his passport and depose before the investigating officer once in every 15 days.

The CBI had on August 6 arrested him under Section 120 (B) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 of the PC Act.

On August 4, the agency had raided office and residence of Mahima Mishra on allegation of bribery. The searches were also conducted at office of Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL) in Badapadia locality of Paradip town in the case. The sleuths recovered Rs 84.5 lakh during searches at various locations in Cuttack and Paradip.
