Weather forecast: Rain on cards for Odisha till Jan 14

Bhubaneswar: There may be a little change in weather over the districts of Odisha from today as the rain is on the cards for several places till January 14.

Due to western disturbance, light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at some places over the districts between January 11 and 14, informed Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.

According to forecast by the Bhubaneswar MeT, light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha during today and tomorrow. Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Mayurbhanj during the period.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Sundargarh, Deogarh and Bargarh and at one or two places over the rest districts of Interior Odisha and dry weather likely to prevail over the districts of Coastal Odisha between January 10 and 11.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, and at few places over the rest districts of Odisha during January 11 and 12.

Also, Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha during subsequent two days.

The MeT issued yellow warning for Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh and Deogarh where Thunderstorm accompanied with hail likely to occur at one or two places between January 11 and 12. Thunderstorm accompanied with hail and heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Cuttack and Nayagarh between January 12 and 13.

Meanwhile, the night temperature is very likely to rise by 2 to 3 degree Celsius during next two days and no large change thereafter over the districts of Odisha.
