25-YO youth meets watery grave in Odisha’s Balangir

Balangir:  In an unfortunate incident, a 25-year-old youth drowned while taking bath in a pond at Sikabehenga village under Puintala block in Balangir district this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Anil Kumar Tripathy.

Sources said Anil went to a nearby pond to take bath at around 10 AM today. While bathing, he slipped into deep water and drowned. Though few locals, who were present at the spot, rushed him to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital here, doctors declared him brought dead.

The body was handed over to family members of the deceased after post-mortem.
