BJP expects to win 75 Assembly seats in Odisha: Amit Shah

Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has predicted that the BJP will form governments in all three states, including Odisha, holding assembly elections alongside the Lok Sabha polls.

Speaking to news agency PTI, Shah expressed confidence in achieving a maiden majority in Odisha and securing a victory in Andhra Pradesh with ally Chandrababu Naidu.

He said that the BJP would win 75 seats in the 147-member Odisha assembly and 16-17 of the state’s 21 Lok Sabha seats.

“We will definitely surpass 400 seats. We will also form governments in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh,” Shah asserted.

He attributed the expected strong performance of the BJP to the Central government’s achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In West Bengal, the BJP aims to win between 24 to 30 of the 42 Lok Sabha seats, while in Andhra Pradesh, the party’s alliance is expected to secure nearly 17 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats, said Shah.
