Deadline for admission in schools, textbook distribution extended

Bhubaneswar: In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Odisha government today extended the deadline for admission into elementary and secondary classes in schools till June 30, 2021.

In a letter to the Director of Elementary Education and the Director of Secondary Education, Additional Secretary of School and Mass Education department, Raghuram R Iyer asked to extend the deadline for admission to schools and distribution of new textbooks till June 30, 2021.

Schools in the State have been closed since April 19, 2021 following the government’s order keeping in view the second wave of the pandemic.
