Dry weather likely to prevail in Odisha; night temperature to rise from Jan 20

Bhubaneswar: Dry weather with clear sky is most likely to prevail over districts of Odisha during next three days. Night temperature may rise gradually from January 20, forecast Regional Meteorological Centre today.

According to Bhubaneswar MeT, Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail across the State. No large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during next 2 days and gradual rise by 3-4°C in subsequent 3 days over the districts of Odisha.

Meanwhile, dense fog is likely to blanket several places during next 2 days.

The MeT issued yellow warning for some districts till January 20.

Jan 19: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal and Kalahandi.

Jan 19-20: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.

Thereafter, moderate rain is in the forecast for several districts.

According to MeT forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha between January 21 and 22.

Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha during January 22 to 23.
